ugh god i love this film, i love everything about it, the cast, the music, the story but ugh MOST OF ALL I LOVE HEATH LEDGER AND WHEN HE DIED THE UNIVERSE WEPT, COS THAT SHIT WAS A FUCKING TRAGEDY. HE WAS BEAUTIFUL AND COOL AND A GOOD ACTOR AND MOTHERFUCKING AUSTRALIAN. LIKE WTF WORLD

Film/Day 209: House at the End of the Street
ugh idek, such mixed emotions about this film. well, those of you who’ve seen my film list know that the other day i saw The Possession and i thought that was ridiculously bad so you can understand why i went into this with rather low expectations, and to be fair i was pleasantly surprised. I thought this was gonna be some stereotypical haunted house “horror” movie bullshit (i mean the recent horror films from the past 3 years or so have been laughably bad, i.e. paranormal activity, which they also showed the trailer for (number 4) which looks equally as bad as the rest) and it was a lot better, the storyline was quite original, the plot twist was ridiculously shocking and the acting was really sound, glad to see Max Thieriot finally getting some recognition (i keep having to explain to all my friends who he is) and i always love Jennifer Lawrence. For her first role of this kind she did a great job. for those of you who haven’t seen it i will say that this is one of those films you really have to keep up with, there are a lot of moments where you’ll be like “what the fuck” and towards the end i was sitting in the cinema like this is so fucking stupid, i am so done, but it keeps you looking at the little pieces until you step back and look at the bigger picture, which is a complete headfuck.
don’t expect anything on the same level as The Exorcist or Rosemary’s Baby but its worth watching

omafod. i absolutely love Tom Hanks and i will watch anything with him in , but i was really sceptical about this because i was like, what can be that great about it? its just a guy on an island but jfc this nearly killed me there were so many feels and i literally howled when he lost Wilson, part of me was like you’re crying over a volleyball but i fucking wept, this was such a good film omg
